    For those interested post 5256 is a pic of my car it was formally run in a/g in 1960 was the Hook & wells car ran a Desoto hemi and Cadillac Lasalle trans,in 1964 it was A/G Dukes &Rosen ran a 392 hemi Doug Nash trans Hillborn injection,in 1965 it was B/G Short Rib 427 Ford Algon injection then Hilborn currently A/GS 468 Chevy supercharged is all steelran mostly in Ohio in the day

    Thanks for giving us some history on your coupe. Do you have any pictures of it earlier on? 1960 was pretty early for a Willys and it was ahead of the times with the Desoto Hemi. I bet that it was a strong runner when it had the 427 ford.

    elgringo71 I do have pictures of all the phases of the car thanks to Hank Witmore who raced with the car at 42 and other friends and the original builders but im not skilled at computers to put them on

    Looking for information on the Marchante Speed and Machine Willys. Photos, videos and historical info. Any of you west coast guys got anything on it. Its been a gasser since 1960. Ran by the Goat Farm for a while. Im currently piecing together the complete history. Any info or insite appreciated. It was from Richmond, Ca originally and ran mostly at Vaca Valley/ Fremont but also ran bigger events occasionally.

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for the byline, but if i may add that this clip was taken at the all Gasser Meet at Lions in 1964. It was the first time I had been back to Lions since our Willys accident in 1960. I was there to document Atts Ono's red 40 Willys debut race. (On another thread) Here is a You Tube video... of these photos

    ELGRINGO71, i saw kilmer & sons run at the gasser meet at denver in '94. if i remember right he had problems with his trans in the final. really nice car.
