Geez that sucks. He will be missed by us all. But take in comfort he is in a better place and isn't suffering. Sorry for the late post I just saw this thread reading it from the 1st page to the last hoping for good news.

Here's a guy that came on like a bear at times, but after you read his comments ( and the comments of OTHERS about HIM), you realized that he was using caps to get your attention because he cared.

Larry reminded me of one of my D.I.'s in basic (1968)-- this guy was on my ass constantly and at first really pissed me off. I knew he'd just gotten back from Viet Nam and had been hurt pretty badly, and I came to realize he was just trying to get a bunch of 18 year old kids ready to face the challenges that HE had faced, and that he had valuable information to pass on. ( and he was "old"--24)

I looked forward to seeing that infamous "3W Larry" tag on a post because the content was always interesting to say the least. I only knew him from the HAMB, but it's obvious he had a "following".
I hope there's some way his family can receive all the kind thoughts from this site.

It's suddenly awful quiet on here, Bubba.
