Got all the old rear suspension out. Also started boxing part of the frame in the back. I am converting the car to coils. I originally wasnt gonna do it, but once i got in there and started measuring everything, i decided it would be easier in the long run to go ahead and convert. It will be lighter and it will let me get everything square. sorry the pics are a little boring but you get the idea. 13490698_10206744975407437_2994153573805047532_o.jpg

Started playing with the heads today. Combustion chambers looked small so i thought i would CC them just to get a base line...Yes i know it doesnt have a valve job on it yet. I am just trying to see where i am sitting. 14037453_10207083462949414_1224539340_o.jpg

Yes they are CM, When i get a chance to get down to the shop i will weigh them for ya. I had bought the material to do them in MS and when i went to pick it up it was very heavy. When i compared the CM to the MS if i remember right there was an 18 pound difference. thats just in material.

Yes sir, i ended up trading them to a collector, for a pair of the standard ones. I probably got the short end of the deal, but the collector is a friend and he is always hookin me up

I have never actually been to Norwalk. Are you just looking for a place to test and tune, or are you asking regarding an event?

WillyB, Looks like Milan Dragway is not too far from you. (Milan Mi.) I race there with the Great Lakes Gassers. We have one race left this year. Nostalgia drags, 9/24-25/16. See our web site. http://www.greatlakesgassers.com/ a good bunch of guys to race with, period correct gassers, not quite as strict rules as South East Gassers

After a ton of thought, and talking to the Birch Brothers at the South East Gasser race this past weekend, i decided to lower the front end some more. So the original measurements were about 15 measured at the rocker just ahead of the rear wheel, and 16 .5 measured at the rocker behind the front wheel. now its 13 and 14 3/8s respectively 14352174_10207307906720368_839588529810320204_o.jpg 14289997_10207307900320208_6075816535911145794_o.jpg 14195926_10207307886439861_6834818583782073788_o.jpg

got the coil spring cups made and tacked in, and started on the wheelie bar mounts, once everything is on, i will pull it out of the car and final weld it. Please ignore, my amazing welding skills. ;) 14311391_10207323023298273_1251175915705031510_o.jpg
