so much cool stuff going on there! a sales guy that I deal with at work has a nice 67 Chevelle, and his group is putting on a show where 67 Chevelles go to have fun. I went once several years ago, and he can't figure out why I haven't gone since... then again, he would probably not be interested in a show like this.

What a great venue. Wish they'd bring back the Beatnik Blowout too.

Thanks for sharing. The late day pics are just what cruising in So Cal looks like in my mind. Beautiful.

I unfortunately couldn't be there, but a very lucky man, by the name of Mike won the car. I don't know who he is, but I do know he has a sweet car to cruise around in.

Kiwi Kev, Great job capturing how cool this event is (was). Since I was locked in my booth inside all day I had no idea how wonderful the outside world was. Thanks for taking the time to post. BO

Yea, What a great time in the South Bay. Kiwi Kevin had given given me that Ole sticker to put on the front wind shield when I was putting my truck back to gather about 8 - 9 years ago. We live near each other in Ventura and was the first person to show me Rodder's Journal issue #9 that had 1963 Leroy Grannis picture of my board in my truck, Hermosa break water. My board is long gone. But I still have my Panel Truck. Drove it just last night. I sure you had an Ole and had as much as I did.

  18. Outstanding. I see no pictures of Nasty Habit or your bitchen wagon Kev, hopefully a pic or two will pop up.

Wow thanks Kev that was a sensory overload. Looks like a big cross section of cool rides .
Did you focus on cool HAMB friendly cars or is this how it is. If so it should be an event on the bucket list.

  20. 90% of cars at the show are H.A.M.B. friendly. It was the first time I didn't have a car there, the trans is out of my Willys getting new syncros. My station wagon has been apart and off the road for years. I thought the quality of cars was up this year, plenty of new cars too. The Hop Up building was a fantastic addition, I really hope it becomes part of the show.

Looks like there are more blackwall tires than usual. Maybe another trend?
I'll be ditching my wide whites in the spring and going all blackwalls.

Kiwi Kev's photos are great as usual. I talked with him for awhile at the show. If you ever get a chance to meet him he is a darn good guy. Here is a link to more photos posted on HotRorHotLine.com..

Great pics, thanks for sharing. Looks like a lot of really nice finished cars there, that's nice to see.

  28. Bob Olsen still shapes in Maui. He's 86 years young. I have an Ole from the early 60's and had one shaped for me in 2006......
