Bling Bling Bling and more Bling, parts just got back from Jon Wright’s chrome shop and all I can say is WOW!!!

 

Gawd, I love this build. Outstanding.

Finally! The body is at the paint shop. Marty and Sons in Sycamore IL, more precisely Andy is prepping the 34 PU body, bed and miscellaneous parts for paint. Here is its current status as of today.

 

The body Is finally getting to the point it can be painted. The bottom is a bed liner coating that will dry black.

 

Painting is going on this week. Here are some photos. I am so excited!

 

Grille has emblem and custom chrome trim ring attached and its to the chassis.

I thought it would take two days to wire, wow was I mistaken, it took me 9.

 

Know what you mean on that. Wiring sucks. Keeps getting better and better.

Well we had a set back yesterday so we had to pull the Flathead and T5 transmission this morning. The clutch counter weights were rubbing against the Cornhuskers adapter.

Additionally the Tilton 6000 hydraulic throwout bearing line got cut by the clutch bolt head.

 

The Cornhuskers adapter was reworked to allow clearance for the counter weights and a window cut out to allow inspection. A plate was fabricated to cover the inspection hole.

 

Well we got in this morning and installed the new throwout bearing hose and re-installed the motor.
