I just acquired a 1926 Model T Roadster Pickup (custom) from fellow H.A.M.B. member boones27t. I want to thank boones27t for making this deal a pleasant experience and I also want to thank Rick Powell for providing transport from California to my home in Pennsylvania, thanks Guy's!

Congrats on the purchase, hope you will have fun with it. For me personally it is way too low slung, however if you like it that's what counts.
Finished and running down the road it should be a lot of fun.

    I like it.
Is that a Quad 4 engine?
Have you considered moving the gas tank?
Some finishing touches & that will look nice!

Yes, Quad 4. I am actually excited about it. I hear horror stories about tuning the carbs though but I have to give it a go because it sounds pretty cool.

I've finally got time to work on the 26 RPU so I blew it apart today. I made an engine stand for the Quad 4 so I can get it running while I assess the chassis. I am confident to many things are hanging below the scrub line. Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

If you don't mind, please post a lot of pics.

Well you know how it goes, one step forward two steps back. Finally had a chance to get the Quad 4 on the engine run stand. Got it to run but only as long as I manually feed fuel. So, I removed the carbs.

Surprise! I found the idle jets, holders, throttle return spring and plate were missing on both carbs. In addition very few of the jets on between the two carbs matched.

So I've just been schooled on Weber carbs, the hard way.

And get this, look at the photo of these two jets and tell me are the the same size???

Nope! Different size but both are marked 120.

Anyone have jetting data for a 2.3L inline 4 on dual Weber 45's? Guess I have some homework to do.

That quad 4 certainly has the traditional look about it. Is it the early one without balance shafts? I think they had better exhaust ports.
