I agree with you, Weasel. Just think about cruising, not blasting, down the local IH in your Willys, running a SBC or SBF, O.D., 8" Maverick/Comet V-8 dropout, right height, bigs and littles, squeezing 30 mpg and DIGGING IT ! Don't even need much boxing of stock frame unless you do 3' wheelies. Drive that bitch coast to coast. Oh, I forgot Vintage Air cool/heat. Now, that's what I'm talking about.

Oh, I love this. You actually shoehorned that '92 between the rails without the firewall going to the seat ? Again, SO FINE ! !

I was thinking the same thing. Shit, is it because I am old ? ?

Now, I can really relate to your comments. Crawling around on the floor is bullshit for oldsters.

I just had to put a piece of Mike Nordahl's stainless still side trim on the body to see how it will look. I'm so happy with the color and trim pieces. Now for the rear fenders. Good job on the stainless trim Mike.

Interesting color choice. I think you just might have nailed it. The Deluxe trim will stand out nicely on it. Very nice build...

Love the attention to detail, simplicity and subtlety. That colour suits it nicely.

Thank you mgtstumpy. I love the way many of the American Car Co. sent parts to Australia. And your Car Co made them into some real interesting body styles. My 4 Dr Willys Phaeton body came over late 80s. I worked on this project for 4 years. I just started will the back of the body, 4 door skins, and a cowl. 7000 hrs.

A final fit on the 40 Willys nose piece. Headers look great. Butter fly cut outs. Check out the louvers I made for the drivers side. Wiring is completed. Moving on to installing rear fenders.

It's looking great and getting close to that first drive. The level of attention to detail is outstanding.

Another beautiful day in the neighbor hood. The trunk is buffed out. Ready to bolt down to the frame. Tail lights are installed and wired. Time to mount rear fenders. Also a pic of the kill switch. It will be easy to find when the car is on it's top:confused: I love this part of construction. Bolting all the parts on the body. Just a little more time, and it will be a car again.

Thank you loudbang. I spend many hours out in my shop. I turn on my oldies and zone into another world. I have my own little area that is like a bubble. And some day it will pop. Till then, life is good.

The "etching" on the tank and battery box you do that yourself?

I used my sand blaster to do the etching. You need to use a stick on stencil
to get the right look, You cut out the area that you sandblast,

The nose piece is installed. The heat sinks around the exhaust is done. The aluminum louvered panel is in place on the nose. Hood is next. Coming along.

This Coupe is over the moon, the color is a knockout and really contrasts well with all of the chrome and the attention to detail is spectacular. Keep the updates coming
