  1. Jim, by the time this is painted, the only way anyone will believe how bad the body was before you started, will be to visit this thread. ;)

Thanks kiwi. I'm hoping to have time to put a whole month in final metal work when it's running and then take it to goodguys in either raw metal or just primer. Then I will pull it down and do the paint over the winter.

    I like the; I'm
Pretty happy so far! Understatement of the year, or this IS just a work in the park for you and you now are looking for a challenge.
    That freaking Awesome!!

What will the next be a all-Alu corvette build from memory? Or
A race drilled tube frame and fiberglass rave weight deuce body, running all Alu mill and a major blower!
Just to show of with exsotic materials, now you have proven how simple it is to do sheet metal. LOL

Good job!!! Can you tell I'm head over heals in awe over you work.

If my wife ever kicks me out, can I come and be you apprentice, I can sleep on a army cot in you shop, and work for food.
As long as your shop stays unfrozen at night.

I just went back and re-read this thread. Your work is amazing! If you go to Goodguys, take along some of the early pictures so people can get a real appreciation for what you've done.

Not much of an update, but I got a tunnel ram and some
    Low back seats. I am
Still looking for a dual carb top. But at least this will get me mocked up for carb

The seats were given to me by a local upholsterer. They were in the back
Of his 37 chevy 2 door sedan. I don't know where they came from originally.
Bernie, my shop is doing quite well. I am just working in this at home in the evenings.

  11. Yeh, would love an update from one of my favorite HAMB builds.

    Hey Jim,
I have seen you polish some turds over the years I have known you. I have heard you say that before and the finished product developed into an award winning, jaw droping beauty.

A pic before I primered the top half, trying to see if I like a 2 tone look.

It never ceases to amaze me how you can breath life back into something that far gone.

    Damned fine work, sir.

Looking good and judging by the pictures a lot of people at the show thought so too. It must feel good to drive it to a show after all of the work to bring it back from the shape that it was in.

I have decided to run it a little while as is. We put some lettering on it and now I'm going to do an interior, put glass in it and clean up some small lose ends.

Amazing is a big word. I'm just persistent. Like a tard beating his head against a wall, I beat and I beat and I beat. Just kidding. Thanks for the compliments, it means a lot to me.
