I can't think of a reason not to go. The roadster is running great. I need to get out. Mark this off my bucket list. Driven to LARS a few times, to Bonn. twice, to Bulletproof a few times then home through Palo Alto and across the G.G. Bridge. I need to get this under my belt.
I sent this link to and I'm talking to friends to see if they want to go too.
    I'll let you know.

Would love to go, but only old engine in steel car is the "BB" in the picture and its a banger. But still it is a truck right? would you let me know where your going to meet? I may have to tow this up from the Oakdale area or leave 2 days early ;)

  12. You bet I'm going Dave, about the best time someone can have in a hot rod. Thank you for keeping this tradition going all these years. I'll be in the roadster with the SBC and no hood !

If one of your rides won't make it, let me know ahead of time...you can ride with me. I have room for one, and I don't have a co-pilot yet.

Just got my '34 PU back on the ground this afternoon. Need to work out some bugs but hope to join! I met up last year but didn't run because of a mechanical failure (my failure, really)

Things are coming together. I've got my roadster on the trailer behind the motorhome for a quick getaway because of the fire up here. Thank goodness I don't think I'll need to do that. The Lowerlake fire seems to be almost out. You just said the run would start from the Petaluma area. If I could drive down on Friday Sep. 2 and park in the Fairgrounds parking lot overnight it might work for me. Do they at the Fairgrounds allow that? If so I have a friend in walking distance of the Fairgrounds that I would like to ask to ride shotgun for me.
I would really like to do this if I can get my shit together.

Then I will my a** off getting a set of heads done that need to go up there, that will save the guy his shipping.
Will cost me fuel, but the trade off is a helluva a good time on the ride all the way around.
    Thx,
    CK

They usually announce the start point as we get closer. I don't think they publish the route.

    Hi Gary,
I'm sorry I don't know anything about the Fairgrounds or their policy about trailers.
Maybe your friend who lives near by could help, I don't even know who you would contact.

Good news about the lower lake fire almost being out.

I provide directions the morning of the run.
I also provide coffee and donuts and door tags for everyone.
In order for me to know how many of those things I need, I try to get a head count.
In years past, when I just announced the start location, I had no idea how many people
would show up, and we would not have enough for everyone.

So now I ask people to contact me if they want to go, and I let them know where it starts.
I don't publish the route or even the end spot, as some people have just showed up at the end.

I hope you all can understand.
and thank you Jeff34 for your help in explaining.

This will be a fun time as always. Anyone who enjoys driving there Old Car should attend. It doesn't matter how fast you go, just choose your pace and enjoy. The line of cars always splits up a bit and we settle into faster pace, medium pace and slower pace. We all arrive and the destinations within minutes of each with the exception of pull overs and break downs. Come join the fun !!
