I would kill (almost) for that Chevron sign. There's one on a barn over by Mulino but the guy says not for sale.. that one matches the porcelain ones hung in my shop with my Dad's name from the Chevron station we owned in early '60's

I know the feeling Paul, every time I see one of those big red Firestone signs I wonder if I could get away with "borrowing" it.
I don't think we could get used to jail food though.

  4. I've seen the Mulino sign - I'll keep my peepers peeled, you never know when you trip over another one.

Eerie things 101… gee whiz, back in the day the big thing to do with Dad and my brothers was to see how fast we could name all the year/make/model of cars going by while driving around town or on a road trip … like in this photo. The eerie thing here is at one time or another owned these cars, well most on them. So let's see, have owned the same 57 chevy black 2 door Bel-Aire, 1950 Dodge Wayfare, 55 Chevy Bel-Aire, 57 Buick Special, 57 Ford wagon, 56 Ford … well you get the picture. Oh and looks like 55 Merc in the background …..

    Name those cars.jpg

Eerie things 101 … So take another look at both these photos. Can you catch the time traveler here ? … cause they are out there man … you can tell cause they haven't aged a bit tho it's been years ….

  14. the motor i just took out of my hot rod came out of a stock car my uncle built, that raced and competed with Randy's car. "our" car was built on a budget [almost nothing], Randy had a big buck car/chassis. the combo of my uncles mechanical ability and the skill of John "wingnut", the driver, they beat Randy many times.
