Thee Inland Emperors were not able to schedule a flathead run this year. Because everyone enjoys this event, a few of us decided to organize one. DATE: Saturday, September 17th, 2016, at the Monitor Hot Rod Café in Monitor, Washington, off highway 2, 5 miles north of Wenatchee. This is a reliability run for flathead powered cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. Open to all makes, just has to be flathead powered. The Hot Rod Café is a great location, with parking on the grass, great food, some shade, a county campground on the river across the highway and minutes from the town of Wenatchee or historic Leavenworth.
If you are able to attend, please answer this thread, so the café can order enough supplies, etc.

There's always been space for non-flatty cars just not on the grass. Chris said in an earlier post that none of the members of the Inland Emperors had the time to put it together this year. Thanks again to guys who picked up the torch!

Hey Hankster32, you ought to drive over to Monroe and meet us, take a drive rather than just drive down the street to the next town. You'd like it.

  9. Great news. Glad it's still a go!

  10. Great news, thanks guys for keeping it going. No one over here was enthused or had the time to help this year. If I can make it, I will be there. If someone from the W side could bring the trophy and either give to someone in Spokane or leave it with someone in Wenatchee that would be great...we need to get it back to our club. Or I can grab it at the Monroe Swap Meet in Oct

They always have a Cheap Seats area. At Monitor the non flatheads usually line up backed up to the orchard on the far side of the grass. Or just out in the parking lot with us peasants who don't have a running flathead or cool non flathead.
Cool beans a road trip camera in hand and now a firm hand to keep my wife out of that furniture store across the street.

I hope to make it. Glad I saw this as I had talked to Chris and the guys and was told probably not able to do it this year. Thanks for stepping up!
I hope to bring a few more cars as well.

Dang, don't look like I can make it this year. We ended up with the grandsons and just have more on our plate this month than I can get done. Wish I could be there, enjoyed the last couple years and wanted to make it to this one as well. Hope it continues for years to come.
I will watch for pics from those that can be there.

Throw the grands in the back seat of the daily and tell them you are going to go look at hot rods and get a burger. That might be a bit of a run if you are a couple hundred miles south of me though.
