Got a call from my rich buddy in Bakersfield, said he was sending me a plane ticket.
Been to the CHRR over a dozen times, guess I'll be there this year sans wheels, just not the same though, it's always nice to sit in the car in the shade of one of the trees in the grove after a long day on the feet.

 

You have a Great Friend, even though I am on Holidays sitting staring at the Ocean I wish one of my friends sent me a ticket!

Eat at Donna K's.

 

I will be in the bottom of the Grove with some buddies in my T roadster, possibly bringing my fordor also. Definitely my favorite show of the year.

 

Lots of good places in Bakersfield to eat. But this is not the weekend for that. CornDog in the Grove for Breakfast will do.
To bad the Idle Spur Cafe in the stockyard at Famoso Rd and Hwy 99 not open early for breakfast on weekends. They have a good one too.

I'll have my flatty car there for the duration of the weekend. And should be cackling on saturday night. A 23 hour drive awaits us! (each way!!!)
