Don't have a photo but there is a Peterbuilt 10 wheeler truck tractor on a post on the I-10 in Fontana, CA advertising the local dealer. Not HAMB friendly but an impressive fixture never the less.

In Fort Wayne, IN there used to be a VW bug on a pole which was a popular landmark. Currently I know of a '69 Mustang Fastback on one north of Oxford, AL and a first gen Chevy deuce on one between Macon and Warner Robins, GA at an old car salvage yard.

Waiting for the grisly accident photo of a person of Polish heritage under a overturned vehicle.

  23. Back around the late 50s or early 60s, there was a car on a pole, was on it's roof. The business was a repair shop, sign ask something about " does your car turn over in the morning ". Can't remember exactly, was on rt#1 in Edison, NJ

I had a buddy that had a buy here pay here back in the 90's and he had a Yugo on a pole. Before everyone carried a camera so I don't have a picture of it. There is a local machine shop that has a Vega on a pole I'll get a picture next time I'm in the area.

  27. .............Great shot, Ron. I've always said that if someone misses the turn for the EMMR (and Jalopy Showdown), they can't blame anyone but themselves.:D
