I saw this one at Viva Las Vegas last year, and I thought someone had cast a one-off. I learned later that it was available in the past as an after-market hood ornament. Since I can cast metals, It got my juices flowing. As a member of Seabees from 59 t0 6 62 and 2 yrs with mcb 9 on midway isl and adak alaska, where did you find this hood ornament?? Hello, In some of my research for the Wavecrest Woody Car Show at Moonlight Beach, Encinitas next month, I came across this photo that I had never seen before. A classic hood ornament for a woody. I have seen custom trophies with a surfer on a board, but not one in this serene "Pose on the Nose." Jnaki I am not sure it would go over on our cars, but it surely stood out. Girls surf, that is a given, so this sculpture looks like the action nose riding photo. SURFING USA...
