Who's going and what are you driving?

I plan on taking the red Deuce sedan and hopefully find it a new home.HRP

 

My wife and I and our son will be going along with 3 other couples. I'll be driving my 32 and my son will be drivng his model a there. Looking forward to seeing you again HRP.

 

Thinking about it. Any recommendations on a place to stay? My 63 Impala needs a new home. Has 400 miles on it since frame off restoration completed.

Gonna be next year for us, we'll be closing on the new homestead around the same time.

 

We have been going for several years, we rent a Chalet for 5 couples, and stay for 4 days. It is a great time, great swap meet, many nice cars both at the show and in town. I will be driving the 39 1/2 ton, Bill either the 39 1/2 Ton or his 56 Pont Safari, Gary his 56 Thunderbird, SEE YOU THERE!!!!

One week away,seemed like more people were going last year. HRP

 

Thought we might catch a break with the weather, cooling down in to the 80's for a couple of days, but not to be. Forecast is back in the 90's next week. That hill can be a hell hole with all the heat and humidity. Just another parking lot car show. I miss the farm.

Well our trip to Colorado for the hill climb fell through so we will be there in the Shoebox. Maybe I can trade it off for something different.

 

The Shades has always been a hot place. The open dirt field with no shade was just as bad as the current location. I've known lots of guys who never even went to the run. The action on the strip was enough for them. As of now I don't think I'm going. I'm worrying about my house in Florida thats in the path of Tropical Storm Hermine.

Danny, our house is in the Florida Pan Handle between Destin and Panama City. Fortunately the hurricane came ashore just east of us and all we got was rain. Hurricane pretty much a non event in our area.
BTW, there is a rod run in Panama City Beach the first week in November call Cruisin The Emerald Coast. Its a week long event similar to Cruisin The Coast in Mississippi. Great beach cruising, entertainment, sea food and some of the best beaches in the country. Anyone interested going I can provide recommendations on accommodations.
