man, that aluminum car is outstanding. It would be a shame to paint that metal. Does anyone have any resources for making bucks like that? Websites or books?
The aluminum 40 Ford was built in Poland by a mig factory for Kirkham Motor Sports, and it sold on E-BAY for $16500. More info htt://deseretnews.com
I love this thing, see it at the local show once a year and driving around occasionally. The owner/builder made wood bucks to form the fiberglass body panels. I think the fenders are part Mopar and it has a B block.
Well, I built every piece of this car, is this what you`re looking for? You can see pictures of the build in my website.http://mccainautomotive.com/BuildDiary.htm
Here are three I've done: Replica champ car (under construction) Roadster pickup drag car Hot Tub made from a '46 Ford deck lid for the rear panel, a Model A cowl skin and four 1916 Franklin doors
That is awesome! I'd love to build one from scratch one day too. Nice work! Here is the Packard we have been working on at Hollywood Hot Rods. The body is about 90% hand made, and the frame and suspension is all hand built. It's currently getting paint.
Well, that's one way to look at it I guess. It's not finished till it's in paint, and if you ask me, a car like that deserves to be finished properly. We'll always have the build photos.
Check out "Rod Tempero" on "facebook" for some amazing auto body workmanship o/t but still worth a look if you appreciate talent.
Folks, D/D class winner at NHRA Bristol event. A copy of a Lynnwood chassis made of plumbers black pipe by owner /driver Znachko ! Shown here at MADISON TWP. RACWAY PARK
I built the one in my avatar. Frame and all and most of the fiberglass body. Everything but paint and upholstery. I had fun.
This thread is so good that it is making me feel bad about my abilities. In all seriousness, the amount of work and commitment that everyone has put in these cars is amazing. Hope to see more! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
