im doing a frame off rebuild on a 64 Impala and went with a 454 motor. I'm wanting to purchase a set of headers but I'm not sure which will give me a better fit for clearance? I know it's pretty tight on the driver side with the the steering colum and motor mount stand. If anyone has any suggestions be great!

Hedman makes a header fits 58-64 used them in a 1960 impala .looked real tight on the steering shaft but no problem fitting lots of clearance part #68180

Put a 454 in a 1991 S10 pickup used Hooker Headers, fit well, no cutting or problems

I had a 396/425 in a 63 Impala used Hookers, they set so low to the ground that when I backed out of the garage I hit a mostly buried concrete block in the drive way and bent the shit out of the collector, never did fix it well enough to be leak free.
They were almost $325 ... this was in 1969...
go see if Hooker still makes them, they fit around the clutch linkage etc very well. I bet they are more than $325 now.
