the rain was hit and miss , actually still had good turn out even in the rain. when it pored rain we made money as it ran them inside our building,,,,,,,ya need to plan on the sept meet....
I had heard early on there was 150 signed up, but i am sure the rain didnt help . Overall the meet was handled very well, looking forward to September. I had always loved the Marion Co meet, but the board voted to no longer do it anymore . I had attended for 40 plus years.....We were crushed when it left the 500 track 44 years ago. The track was a huge meet at the time. Pretty amazing that i have been selling this stuff for almost 50 years!!!!!!!!!
Yes , I remember the last swap meet at the track and the destruction to the track and the MRS. saying never ever will there be another swap meet here, and she was right.. I miss Marion county also.. I'm old too...
Drove up on Friday in the rain. Met up with a couple of buddies. Rain was off/on until about noon. Then sun came out. Didn't come back on Saturday, sprinkled all day. I miss the days at the 500 track also.
