You and me both. I talked my friend out of a cool steering wheel for it ( my dream wheel) so I will soon be able to steer it..officially . The engine rebuild will be a major hang up to getting it driving this year.. we will see.

  3. A little motivation for you. I spied this one two weeks back at a car show. Flatty powered as well...

A less cluttered garage is a big step in making progress, so is having a rolling project. Bob

    Thanks Kelly!

  6. What a car! Absolutely perfect!
You will definitly need a co-pilot in the cockpit to help with the gauge monitoring.
Hope you don't mind if I steal some of your detail ideas for my 32 Tudor, flatty powered as well.

Thanks John! The one thing I really like about old cars and old parts is the stories that go with them and the friends you make in the process… which always go hand in hand. Its also fun to talk my dad outta some of his stash so the stories continue!
Haven't been on here too much lately, sorry for the lack of updates, been distracted with my daughters health.
I also decided to keep my extra frame and bolt some of my stashed parts on it… figured its easier to store if its in one unit. Put the hemi in the frame( note the fantastic wood motor mount fabrication;), and bolted my guides on, and put my 35 wires that I had on my old sedan on it too. Swapped the Mordrop for a Dago… and just tinker on it for a day and play with ford parts...which is great therapy. My Friend dropped off my steering wheel for the tub too so that was a nice distraction! I also picked up some cool blinkers as well.

Progress has really trickled lately. I have been trying to do a few things here and there. Rattle canned the hood to see how the car looks all one color, finally leaned the windshield posts back about an inch and a half, and I have had a lot of time to think and decided to throw the hemi back in and use the flathead for another project down the road?? Raised the engine up about an inch and half and it clears the column and the hood fits better than when it sat lower. Hopefully more progress comes about before winter hits. Looks better with the hemi in it. Not something you would expect to see when you open the hood.

Can't wait to add some awesomeness to my odometer. Currently its not so awesome. It reads: 00000

and there is 11 gauges… not ten;)

With 11 gauges I'm pretty sure it's mandatory to have a co- pilot.

    Very cool build!!!
Are the windshield and stanchions original Ford?
    They look nice.
    Or aftermarket?
    TIA

I wish the stanchions and windshield frame were real, but they are aftermarket.

the lower stanchions are old vintique repops that I picked up about 15 years ago. The windshield frame is Mr. Roadster from speedway. Upper stanchions are speedway units…not really that impressed with them as they need some tweaking.
