they made ahelluvalot more 33/34 beds than they did in 32, so they are much easier to find...cutting up an original 32 bed that is needed by a high ranking official in the Hamb Deuce Club will only incur the wrath of the Guido Bros on you....................and I have them on speed dial

Good thing is Larry said money is no issue and the 32 gets whatever the 32 needs, with that being said once we conclude our transaction I'll be able to buy everyone a round including the Guido brothers!!!

  14. My 33 was very similar with the exception of top height. I cut 5 and 3/4ths inches outta mine. Ran an old 59-AB with an S-10 5 speed and a 46 pickup rear end. I also changed to a 39 ford passenger steering gearbox and cross steer.
Cab was channeled when I bought the cab/chassis....box was a 27 T pickup
    Fun trucks!

Ahh, cool. Looks good, thanks for posting. Once I figure out the bed situation I'm thinking of chopping the top maybe 3" or 4".

  19. Ricofan: Spend a minute looking at the length of a 32-34 bed from the fender back, their kinda long. You may like that look? I used a 35-36 bed (because one got one CHEAP) and shortened the front of it and eliminated the front stake pocket at the same time. I load up a pic. Wish you lived closer, I have a couple of trannies. One is a nice '35 and the other is an old open drive top loader box. It's apart so I could inspect the housing. I hear they take later gears with better synchro's etc. Tim 100_0103.JPG 100_0105.JPG 100_0107.JPG

Drove up to Purcell, Oklahoma this morning to trade my 32 Ford pickup bed for this 33 Ford pickup bed. Glad I was able to work something out with a fellow Hot Rodder here on the H.A.M.B.
Looking forward to getting the bed mounted on the 33 pickup.

  24. Damm it. Too bad I didn't see this thread earlier. I have a 33 bed I would have traded plus some cash for that 32 bed, and I live closer to you. Oh well. Truck looks bitchin!

Placed the 33 bed on the frame but will need to make a few adjustments to get it to sit correctly. Will probably see about spraying a little paint to try and match the cab.

The bed is now mounted correctly and repaired the stake bed pockets on each side. One stake bed pocket is an original piece and the other I purchased from Mac's. I'm thinking I may spray a little green paint on the bed to match the rest of the pickup. Will have to fine out what the paint code is.

Well, now I'm working on keeping her cool. Going to flush out the radiator and water jackets and hope that helps. Currently I have no thermostats installed and running an electric fan.
