I see semi-elliptics hiding under the rear, 'Bone. Chassis Engineering?
Nice save on the doors, BTW...(I love '33 doors for the forward inside handles...)
The HAMB gods are with you on this resurrection.

Stance with the Halis make for a 5-window version of 'the Kid'.
Watch out for that cop in the Plymouth...

  8. Man that thing sits nice, or, I really like the stance/rake.
I'm surprised it's not black, but I do like the reddish.

Whatever color it was, it ain't that anymore. I have done sixteen black cars and I kind of promised myself that this one wouldn't be black, but I couldn't live with whatever the hell it was.

All I can say is.....Yeay!!! The red oxide just didn't do that car any justice at all.
    Now, where's the Pontiac motor?
Repeat after me; " chopped and filled, black with Halibrands and a big thumpin' Pontiac motor" Doesn't that sound better? Much better than... "and a small block Chevy"
    Nice work!

I don't really have much to add. The glass shop has my patterns and the glass should be done any day now. Other than that, the car is done. It was just a quick build for my new daily driver, so there really wasn't much to it. The candy ass Chevvie motor is staying, I guess I had to own at least one in my lifetime and this is it. The little things runs great, so maybe I should stop talking shit on Chevvies, but it is slow as hell....

Here is the next one. No candy ass Chevvie for this car, it's getting a BIG fucking Pontiac motor and a 5 speed.

The '36 now lives with a HAMBer on the other end of town. It is the only car I ever started that I didn't finish, but I'll still get to see it running around when he gets it done.

The world needs more black '40 coupes! And a big Pontiac engine won't hurt one bit.
