Also I pitched the ac compressor on it's side for viewing pleasure, the hoses looked terrible sticking straight up. Will this be a problem when I charge the system? Anyone else have theirs sideways? Thanks in advance.

What an absolute beauty. Attention to detail is awesome.
Don't know about flipping a compressor but I do know moisture is its worst enemy.
I'd put a dryer in line.

If you have trouble with the hoses sticking straight up try a 180 fitting, I had these made by "Air Parts Inc" Ocala, FL (800) 223-7167 I had them add the charge ports so it cost a few dollars more for the TIG welding but the whole invoice was for $40
