I would dispute the statement that there is little or no shock with a crossform chute. At 220 mph throwing a pair of 12 footers into the breeze will put your head in the dash--been there, done that!

The only gasser photo clip that I have from 1964 Lions during an all gasser event is this one of a red Plymouth. Is this the one? Sorry there aren't more clips, I was there to record my friend's new red, 40 Willys coupe on its maiden voyage.

Many moons back, I wen't thru the Frank Hawley Drag Racing school.
The Funny car was my course of choise.
There was four of us, a guy from Orange County (SoCal), Don Sr., Donny Gay, and myself.
Lots a cool stories, a memorable few days.
