The late Noah Canfield and his partner Charlie Johnson owned the car and they also owned Capitol City Speed Shop. I became friends with Noah when he moved to Florida a number of years ago.

This same car is nearly restored. It will be unvieled next Wednesday in it's home town of Ridgecrest, CA. It has the same engine in it now as then.

Nope! The 15 Oz car was a 33/4 with a raked chop and a laid back windshield (and as far as I can tell it had the 15 Oz lettering right from the start).

  15. Yes it did Roo. Larry Reyes lettered it in Les Hawkin's drive way right up the street from our house.

Great shot of Norm's Healey before it was painted lime green. Loved that car!

After re reading my post, I realized it was Manuel Reyes who lettered the 15oz coupe. The same guy that flamed the California Kid. CRS is a bitch!

    Hello Bobby Langley fans,
Here is a cool version of Bobby Langley’s Scorpion dragster showing a very interesting injector scoop. An individual builder/racer in 1958-59, that is for sure.
    Thanks,
    Jnaki

Likewise Dean. The photo of that car that is stuck in my memory is the one looking down on it as it blazed the tires at the "Pond".

I bought a lot of parts at E.T. auto parts back in the 70's. Ed Taylor had a cute daughter.....
