Rare sports manifold for Flathead

    I've come across this manifold dated 1947 and wonder if anyone knows anything about them.

    I found one as well with a clover under the S.. It appears to be the same. I was also wondering if anyone had any info? I picked mine up at the Iola swap

    Looks like just an aftermarket replacement for a '37 low generator manifold. Perspective makes it look like carb might be set back an inch or so...hard to tell for sure. Setback manifolds were for rigs with huge HD generators, like ambulances and police cars.

    Thanks Bruce! It looks like the carb may sit higher as well. I'll compare it to a stock intake as soon as I can.
