In the early '60s electronic starts became the new wave. Gone were the days of the flag starter, and as a result, drag racing became foolproof and much more consistent. C/As at the start

That's what these cars are supposed to look like. Pure porn for a tri 5 dork like me!
    Super round of photos, Swi66.

*EDIT*- Anyone else notice the HT's roof rake? Not to detract from the paint job or anything.

*SON OF EDIT* - The Green Onion Not only has a plexi scoop, but also an extra set of eyebrows and hood bar to make a ''chin'' under that tube grille. Looking at the lower windshield corner piece, gonna say it's a sedan.

Don’t think I can remember ever seeing top of blower and both rotors gone, with belt still in place and maybe still usable.

Every time I see photos of the Beatles arriving in the U.S. I think of a story my Aunt told me. She was in Las Vegas to see the Beatles and was standing outside the casino where they were playing waiting to see them leave. The limo was parked by the side door and hundreds of folks were also waiting. Secuity carried four sets of matched luggage to the car and people were scrambling to touch the luggage, one girl fainted after touching the luggage. Everyone was soooooo excited, until Buddy Hackett came out laughing and got into the limo and drove away. LOL
