I love the feeling of latching on to old custom wheels...cool Bell! looks like that one served time on about three different boxes in its past.
A legendary racers wheel. Its no doubt has many stories and look forward to knowing what it was attached to. I notice stress cracks in the wheel bosses to the metal all on the same side...would that be because more turns were one way than the other. Lots to ponder. Is there a car attached to this wheel? Was this a garage sale find...probably not. Holding that is like shaking every persons hand that held onto it...Oh and being an aviation fellow I couldn't help but notice the double hole but hey its not an airplane.
Ryan, I scored a similar wheel a few years ago at a swap meet, it actually has local history too.... I couldn't fu*#ing believe it! I got the wheel and a Helmet that I used at ROG last year for $$?
On cold days, wear gloves. The black tar shit gets on your hands...won't wipe (or wash!) off... Love old steering wheels, (esp. Bell types) but don't like to get too...'attached'...
