I don't get to come here much but I am always excited about the Syracuse nationals! Who's going, and what are you bringing?

I hate that they destroyed the race track and grandstands, but it has apparently opened up room for way more cars. Maybe they will go over 10,000 cars this year.

I'm bringing a 65 Mercury Marauder with air bag suspension and flamethrowers. It will be for sale.

Usually bring our 57 Chevy wagon. We will be camping on the new asphalt where the stands used to be. The number of cars registered has nothing to do with the available space. They are putting up buildings and a childrens play area where the track was.

It's kind of a weird situation for me. I love the Syracuse nationals, been to everyone, and I'm looking forward to it again this year. But I am still angry and bitter over the senseless destruction of my favorite race track on the planet. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the changes when I get there. I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm feeling a little apprehensive…

No, he won't have time. He'll be too busy announcing new ways to screw up the state.

We just got back from registration. We go up and get our credentials and then hang out a while, then off to Oneida Shores to see some more cars and have lunch. Tomorrow morning – the nationals it is!

Met New Jersey resident Vince Jackson today at Syracuse and got to check out his 55 Chevy Custom ElCamino. We both knew we had similar builds but had never been at the same event before.
We got his 55 and my 56 together and took a couple pictures. We also took a short cruise together through the fairgrounds and got a lot of cool compliments.

Checked out your pickup 56Dodge. It was parked not too far from me. I dig the sweet looking slant 6. Good choice.

Had problems with my suburban and couldn't take the race car to "Cuse" but we drove there Friday to take care of business. Turned out to be a great day though and we left as the first drops fell.

Some people have complained that tearing down the oval track was a reason that they would not go to the Syracuse Nationals, well it is true that tearing it down was wrong, this show is one of the biggest in the northeast. I would prefer losing the track than losing this event.
