Japan, near Nagoya - Late 90's I think - its all a blurr!

 

Outside a Rockabilly club in Hiroshima - Late 90's-

 

At some point, this great Buick custom apparently derailed, crumpling one of its (what appear to have been) Jimmy Jones skirts. In the repair process, it got some flush, rivet mounted skirts in super elongated wheel wells, as well as a modern looking two-tone paint job. Oh, well!

I always wanted to ask you if you had the 55 with Buddy Holly`s Dead, That`ll be the Day lettered on your trunk. Now I know.

 

I remember when I first saw the Jade Idol in the mags "back when." I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought that was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. Still do.

Everyone here certainly knows of Richard Zocchi, but some may not recognize his Pontiac, done by Winfield in 1962 when new.





The fact that he is still a major figure in customizing 50+ years later is a testament to his contribution to the hobby.
What a legacy!
