I want to enter my 32 Roadster for the Pismo TROG this October. Its Henry steel with a '48 Caddy flathead, 39 Packard trans, 40 Ford rear and brakes. Everything on the car is period correct....even the speed equipment. So I have registered the car three times in the last month on the TROG website, wrote a few PM's in the HAMB to the TROG powers that be.....and have heard nothing. No thumbs up or rejections. Zip.
I'd like to race this car and need to schedule the time off long in advance as my job takes me overseas for long periods of time. So hopefully someone who is affiliated or remotely in charge of this event sees this and can give me an answer either way. I totally understand if there isn't any slots left- just would like a thumbs up or down from the TROG guys either way.

  4. I think that would be the prime example of what they would like to see racing on the beach... but then again

Maybe it's just me but I find it terribly ironic that I have to apply for a race that has uber strict rules regarding originality via Facebook. Probably created by a Mac too.

I'd say that outside of having to remove the headlights on race day that fills the bill but I'm not the one that has the say.
There is a thread on here specific to the Pismo event and you might post a photo there. I asked about running my roadster with a flathead six and was told I would have to run exhibition only but it looks like the car won't be done any where in time this year.

The headlights are easily removed. Car has white walls and I have two sets of wheels tires and that an easy fix as well. I'll post pics in their thread as well.

Your pics are not the best but the car still stands tall. That says a lot about the subject matter. What a nice ride!

  16. Direct message Mel (Dirtiest Devil) or Bobby (Bobby Green) here on the HAMB. They are the decision-makers behind TROG!

Nobody has heard anything from them. They say after August 1st. If you entered more than 3 times you are automatically out for 2016! At least that's what I'm telling my self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. I hope it gets in, I love seeing that thing in person. If they say no, I will question their judgement in a big way. That roadster fits the bill.

I doubt they have had time to get on the HAMB. Plus they probably aren't at the point of accepting or denying participants yet and I think there are few more people that get the registrations before Bobby and Mel see them. Be patient and I'm sure you'll hear something. Good luck!

This would be my guess too. These guys are probably incredibly busy right now and they might be just setting the entry requests aside to do a bunch at once. I wouldn't freak out.

I wouldn't expect to hear anything until after Aug.1. Entries are open until then.
