  1. Just bought a set of the decals from Ecklers early Chevy. Look pretty nice to.

Ok. Gonna order some now and see how it looks before I commit to painting the chrome

  3. Did you have to modify anything on the primary tubes on the header to clear the pitman arm when it is cranked all the way back to turn left? Getting ready to swap motors in my 51 and I'm really thinking about what you have done with your exhaust, I may be copying it. It looks real nice.

Chrome air cleaner, chrome oil fill breather cap, why not chrome the valve covers to match? Or, chrome powder coat them all? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

No I didn't, but my motor sits fairly high in the chassis. I can post a side shot so you can see approximate position

Butch, now that you say it, chrome valve covers might look pretty nice, especially the ones with the rectangular embossing for a sticker...

I thought work was slowing down, but it looks like it's picking back up. Haven't had much time to work on the 49, but I did send my 53 column out for a rebuild to a knowledgeable old timer. His name is Tom and he is on the Chevy talk forum as dzauto. The box feels much better when turning it. Excited to see what this one is like going down the road. 1466815543395.jpg 1466815565307.jpg

Here everybody. The new business has taken up all my time and money. I had a goal of driving it to ventura this weekend, but now I have a whole other year to make it there.

Dude... life has been crazy. I started a business, it's picking up steam. I have a few huge projects on the burner right now, I'm going to start helping my father in law with his machine shop, and my wife and I have twins on the way. Other than that, nothing much. Hahaha! I'm going to try and start working on it again in 2 months.

  17. Geez man! That is a lot. It sounds like all good stuff though. Well, I look forward to more whenever you can get back to it. Best of luck to you.

  18. Wow, congrats on the twins.
    Your a busy man.

Congratulations, on EVERYTHING! We all look forward to your return to work on that old 49 Chevrolet Coupe, and some pics of the Family too.

Deto I was curious if you are able to make more of those transmission mounts? If so how much would you be selling them for?

Right now. I'm focusing on my new business venture, but I think I might have the cad files saved. I will see what I can do...

You saw it here first. New building. Only one this size locally with a gated yard. More info to come on what I'm doing. And it will involve some HAMB friendly services... 20170428_174849.jpg 20170428_170910.jpg 20170428_170855.jpg

Good to see you're taking security seriously with the guard dog! The nephew I built the 51 Bus Coupe with, went into business for himself with a CNC Aerospace Machine Shop. That's why he gave the car back to me. 2 CNC Machines, some kind of computerized turret lathe (?), another axial lathe (as old as I am I think), and all the support equipment that goes along with all of it. I have no idea about his business, and the machines however. I've hardly seen him in almost 2 years now. Good luck with your new endeavour. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

You're going into the starter motor rebuild arena? I'd like to place my order for a 55-62 Chevrolet V-8 with the optional Dual Range Hydramatic transmission, AKA the Hydro, starter motor. An extremely rare part that brings $$$$$. Good luck with the new endeavor. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
