Thanks for the heads up @Charlie Stephens If I can find one of the storage trays I'd use it. For now this will do. The blueprints will be helpful.

Following my thought to the logical end how about a couple of deep storage areas under the seat and on both sides of the driveshaft? You can never have too much storage space.

Special thanks to Matt over at @geardrive !! Put my new lake header on and looks perfect!



Had to make up a couple of aluminum spacers for the intake. Sandwiched them together and drilled a hole through half of each one.

Working on finishing the floor today and hopefully have that done by tonight.

Here ya going @Binger they are are nothing fancy, but get the job done. 3/4" thick piece of aluminum I had laying around. Thanks for all the kind words guys! I'm really motivated to finish it and be driving it soon!

 

Thanks for the Picture. I saw someone who tacked some angle iron pieces to the header but I like these better.

This is the under seat storage for a '32 roadster, I think yours is about the same if I remember correctly.

Scored some other goodies at LARS. Got the top wood bows and some running board aprons. I'll probably sell the repops and straighten the originals. I had already grabbed the repops before I saw the originals. Oh well. Now I have two sets.

 

Belt rail, rear bow and b-pillar wood on. Needs a nice size chop. Waiting to get it on the road for the final decision on how much to take out.

Man that header is nice!

 

I am always more comfortable in a car without a chop, be sure to drive/ride in a couple before you get the saw out.

Got after the car again this weekend.

Finished the floor with some copper scraps I had laying around, for the battery and master cylinder access panel.

Annnnnnd gave it a 4" haircut!


My friend Tyler had an extra grinder so he was invited to participate in the fun.

Pretty much buttoned up, just need to make some pie-cuts and finish a few welds then grind smooth.

 

Lots of progress!! Go man go!!

Made some cuts to the A-pillar. Welded it up but forgot to snap a pic. Had to stop for the evening so the neighbors don't hate me.

 

Finished cleaning everything up last night. It's most definitely not perfect but also not the worst I've seen on a first try.
