Glad you like it. Yours looks good

Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

  2. Here's the next installment of my Model A grill creation.
I had set up an English Ford Ten dizzy in the top, and will run some type of LED wiring to the spark plugs that will be in the four outlets on the top brass piece.
While showing it to a Model A guy today, (who I thought would hate it, and he liked it) he says, you need a Model A dizzy, instead of that English crap, so I says, I would if I had one.
Of course he had a spare, so now it's more correct, haha.
The brass on the top is an old gas plant valve pulled apart, that was laying about in the shed. The gauge got the needle painted red, and a Clay Smith decal put on.
I'm now looking for a clock, and barometer for above the traffic light. IMG_20160224_142859.jpg IMG_20160224_142905.jpg IMG_20160224_142917.jpg

  4. I'll cover the plywood with some type of black material.
I want to make the traffic light alternate, but have no idea how to do that, yet.
I'll also put more brass and copper on it, but don't want to make it too Steam Punk.
My other issue, is do I make it all LED powered by batteries, or have it wired up to plug into mains power.

  8. To make the walk/don't walk light operate sequencially as it would in actual use, check out the Pedestrian Signal Unit Model P2 for $44 offered by www.trafficlights.com from Lights To Go!, PO Box 533, Derby, KS 67037. Phone (316) 788-4911. email: [email protected]

I have no direct connection to this company other than being a satisfied customer! I've purchased more than 10 of their controllers for projects over the last few years with no problems. Great products at fair prices with good customer service.

  9. Thanks Jim.
    I'll take a look.
We have 240 v mains down here, as opposed to your 110 v mains, so may not be suitable, but I'm sure when I get in touch with them, we can sort something out. There will be some type of converter.
This is going to take some time to build, I'm taking it slow, as I've so many ideas.

I call it the Five Star Superb. I just finished this for a client of mine. It will be mounted up on a column in his office. A fun piece to build!

Don't know why I didn't see this till now, but I think this is very cool. Not sure exactly how it's supposed to work, but I like the steam punk vibe.

    RKC,

    Beautiful chair:

Recommend you remove the starter ring from the flex plate, though. Those things eat up floors.

I have a friend who buys and sells vintage neon signs as well as general vintage items, I cut both sides off of this Metro for him to make wall hangers. The front glass cut fine, the back exploded when I was almost through. 14580342_10207168336103194_695740639_n.jpg 14569807_10207168336343200_779545064_n.jpg 14569704_10207168336383201_1512650439_n.jpg
