    Hey guys,

I have someone that was heavily involved in the motion film "Cry Baby" looking for the Shoebox that was used in it. I believe it's a '51 sedan. That was 26 years ago, but there's a chance it's still around today. Anyone know the whereabouts? Thanks

Wasn't that Johnny Depp's first movie? I remember a woman he hung out with was called Hatchet Face. That was a really weird movie....

It is such a common car that it may have been restored or repainted by now.

It wasn't Johnny Depps first movie, and in my opinion was supposed to be sort of weird ;-)

  8. Or Traci Lords......mmmmm Traci

  9. I never seen the movie. But I like that shoe box, it has lots of attitude. I wish they would make, more car movies. I often thought that George Lucas should make a movie from one of Henry Gregor Felsen's books. Hot Rod was my favorite. But they could do them as a series. The story lines are great. Thanks for your post , I will look that movie up, and watch it. Ron...

  13. Hey Axle, sometimes you have to take a look at all the credits in the movie, find the prop master or car wrangler or company that dealt with the cars and go from there.

Also see if any car museums may have end up up with them. There is one in Florida that has a lot of movie cars.

Had to look up the cast. David Nelson was in it too.
I never have been able to sit thru the whole thing yet, even tho I'm a Depp fan..

    Guess I'll try again.

  20. The movie was full of interesting actors. Patty Hearst, Willem Dafoe, Iggy Pop, etc. It had a cast tie to Serial Mom, lots of the same cast played in both movies.

It was a John Waters film. They are all weird (and a little gross) starting with Pink Flamingos. He always used lots of the same actors in a lot of his films. Mink Stole was in almost every one of them. The first Hairspray movie was one of his also. All his movies are set in Baltimore. I would bet you can somehow find something on it somewhere. There are a lot of other great cars and bikes in Crybaby.

I only vaguely remember the movie and I know nothing about the whereabouts of the car so the only help I can give you is put you back on top. Luck in your search man.

Forget the popcorn Ron, I suggest vicodin and a whiskey chaser. Better make that a double. That's an hour and some you aint gettin back. Do some sketching instead, time better spent.

  27. Hey Buddy, I seem to remember a few cats that hung out at the Palimino on tuesdays. They had black leather jackets leather white letters. Maybe NH rebels, not even 72% sure. I know no other way to put it other than they were Mexican. They also had a 57 ford in the club with a hopped up 312. We ran that 57 one night. maybe Alanzo from the autobutchers knows.

I might be spelling his name wrong years later he had a 40 ford truck kustom. Also there was a guy that was mixed up in the movies and providing cars infact I still recall a fire at universal that he lost a bike in.

too bad there wasn't email and cell phones back then.

  28. Traci made somewhere between 80 and 100 X-rated movies (some consisted mostly of leftover footage from previous shoots) between 1984 and 1986 when she was 16 to 18 years old!

Look out into the west end of baltimore county out towards Carroll Co.. My dad and his car club had more than a few of their cars in various filming locations.. I 'think'/seem to remember that car belonging to a Tastykake Driver.. I know his name but it's just bad form to post.. he also owned a sleeper Buick Turbo.
