Thanks for the encouragement, I need it. I have pretty much everything sitting in my garage...just need to put the time into it. Love your truck as well!

The car in my profile is what I am working with, It will get some new running boards and a new top. Other than that it's staying as it is. and getting put in the weeds, front sits to high right now. we are also working on a sweet 55 chevy 4 door with nice patina, redoing everything but the body work.

  12. Saw this one at work yesterday. No patina, just some unrepaired body damage. Chrome is still good and nothing is missing. Looks like the original paint too.

An early 60's IH Metro that Tom brought in from USA. He also owns the COE in the pictures that runs a 572 Chev.
I have almost finished a 1963 IH Metro for my son done as a food van. Not really a traditional hot rod but I have seen others here(Acme Speed Shop John Mearns) so here goes. P1020865 (Large).JPG P1020324 (Medium).JPG P1020860 (Large).JPG

It's a great truck, built by Bobby Green of Old Crow Speed Shop -- he rebuilt every component of the chassis, added a 59AB motor with Ross Pistons, Clay Smith cam, adjustable lifters, and a 39 trans with Zephyr gears.

I particularly like the sunshades over the door windows! Do you have any pictures of the inside? Sorry to hassle you, but I am really into this truck. Thanks.

Hey not a hassle at all. I have to get some better pics of the interior -- the dash is just gorgeous if you are into patina. I guess the sunshades were an aftermarket item in the 1930's. They fold up for driving. The last shot is the interior when I got it -- still filled with sand from the 2015 Race of Gentlemen.

This is brilliant - thank you!

  23. Another Comet from Sunnyvale CA. This one is far more deserving of the "Running & Rotting" title than the one I posted last week.
