Okay, now I'm just showing off.. But I wanted to show the finished(?) car now on the road - first drive in two years this weekend! Running boards glued and mounted, garnishes and wind wings in, signal switch wired and operational and trunk rubber glued and lid adjusted!

Starting to get the interior squared away.

 

Not mine, but I grew up drooling over this '47 that belonged to a neighbor/father of a classmate. It's a genuine old '60s hot rod with a 327 lashed to the original three-speed and a tuck-and-roll interior. It just got back on the road after about a 15-year hiatus. I'm very glad to see it still in service.

What did you end up with for tires on the sedan @RoadFarmer ?

 

This was my 46 Coupe. It´s in Sweden now.

 

They are the same 6.0s that were on it when I bought it. I'll probably run some 6.50s in the rear when the car needs new tires someday. Not sure if I'd run black or white walls the second time around.

IMO. visors are for Chebbies and trucks....

 

Cool I'm running a 27 inch tall tire all around so a little shorter than yours, though I think it needs a taller tire in back to get that nose pointing down a little better. Hope your having a blast with it!

lbcd, your neighbour's sedan has that perfect hot-rod stance. Wot a NICE car!
You two should get a pic or more of the two sedans together!! I'd like to see that!

Cool! Hope to get my steering hooked up this week and I will hit him up...just met him last week...a cool car will do that! Painted the plastic dash panels...turned out ok and i might get some pin stripes on the garnish and dash.... maybe something different from the norm.

Heres my 47 that im currently wrapping up. The old flatty got rebuilt this winter. All new wiring (12v conversation also) and new disk brakes.
