Drags
The basics for 2016:

• 1/8 mile dirt drags (saturday and sunday)
  
• 1954 and older hot rods, customs, bobbers
• flatheads, four bangers, six bangers

* If you have an OHV of that era we will have an exhibition class you can run.
* I will let 265 and 283 sbc's run

This is a fun event, no brackets, no winners, no losers.

Specialty Car Show on the Green
We will have the car show on the green again this year, plan early, we will sell out

Lodging
Rooms at the movie manor are already sold out.
There will be camping RV and Tent available, details are coming.
There are hotels in Alamosa, get on it because they will sell out for other events in the area.
Bring your vintage trailer, we will have a special place for you

Drive-In Movies
There will be vintage movies friday and saturday nights.

Prepping the F-1 for the drive and runs down the dirt 8th mile dirt. About a 1500 mile round trip for with no fellow travelers or support, so I am fussing over details..

Went last year and it's probably my favorite event ever!! Love the old race cars brought back to life, '20's-30's, etc. it was a blast. The strip sometimes worked to dust, other runs with muddy spots from the water truck. Great time!

 

You'll be fine! My wife and I have driven the '34 from Lawrence to the hillclimb for the last three years. Have fun!

As an aside, I don't believe we've met have we?

On the road again... fot our 1st adventure of 2016.

Detroit to Monte Vista, CO for the 2nd annual Dirt Drags. The inaugural event was a endless amount of silly, stupid FUN!

Tommy was getting hangry, so we had to stop at Penny's Diner in North Platte for breakfast.

Stopping in Franktown, CO for the night & then on to Monte Vista!

 

A mess of old fart's pulling out at 8AM.

 

Looks like fun. A friend left today from the Denver area, hauling his 29 banger behind a 72 winabago flat nose. Dang I should have tagged along.
