Some cars/people it is actually kind of an honor to get beat by.
You and that ol Chevy fall into that category James.
It's gonna be great to see you again....Even if it is from that angle!:)

    Thanks Scott
I am sure that if I get around someone they must have broke.
And I am getting tired of that view I am fixing to fall under it and work on the rear end again.

I am going to let Chris and Nathan wheel that turd unless they start to make me look bad.
The only plan for it is going to install ladder bars and coil overs and make the carb happy at idle.
I wanted to do a cam and head swap but me as always let my alligator mouth overload my humming bird ass.
Bel Air is getting some new axles and taking the 4.88 out so I still have a 409

Vht white here also, too much budget went to redoing car for new combo. Plus my headers were supposed to be tig welded , and got migged instead and didn't turn out like I was expecting.

We have a winner's circle around here that send them up by Chicago and cost 300. May do another set all 2" and go that route.

Good luck on the dyno Scott!

    Thanks Bill!
I found somebody semi-local (hr and a half away) who does a set of headers for $375 and the reviews are good:)
Looks like I will be going to see him if there's any bucks left over for that...lol

I had mine done local for a good price. I don't know what ceramic product he used. but it started to peel within 20 mins of run time. Didn't look prepped at all underneath. When I took them back to him he wasn't interested in re-doing them, he just gave me my money back.

Most human problems can be solved by an appropriate charge of high explosives.

Ignition wires are complete ... one step closer to fire up !!

I have to admit - moving too far from my brother's shop to be convenient had me worried, not having the tools and resources on hand is a problem... the up side... the Scout is 50 ft away, not across town... that means I can get 20 hours of work done on it a week, not just 4 or 5 every Saturday...

Umm ....8000 rpm seems awful high.
Why would anybody wanna rev an engine like that...?
I think 6000rpm sounds much more reasonable.

    Didn't Shelby get around 308
Scott should be able to do that with his eyes closed
So if he peeks 350 no problem and if both eyes open 415 too 420 and just leave the chips at home.

There was a little bit of that going on I will have to admit.... of course Friday at the strip will be the real tale tell from a launch standpoint. I am working on my glutes all week trying to tighten them up a bit to cut down on the amount of seat foam I have to remove Saturday!:p
