Too cool! Just read through the entire thread! Great to see another Te-440 out racing! We own the Scrima-Adams-Smith Te-440 and are getting ready to restore it to how it was in 58-59'

You have all the chassis research goodies (steering wheel,gauges, foot peddle) Love it! Unfortunately when our rail crashed in 59' they took all of it off! Now we have to find new ones... which is pretty hard to find.

 

Did you track all those parts down? Let me know. Todd

I am curious, did you use any parts from an old dragster chassis to build this?

I didn't have time yet to read each page, only had time to skim the first section, saw where it says 'chassis built by Scotty Fenn...' and didn't realize who he is. You'll have to forgive me, I'm just learning some of this stuff. Just had time to read the whole thread tonite.

Sorry it's been a few weeks since I posted last. Did you take pictures of the old chassis you used to rebuild this before you started altering it?

I love this video. I especially like how the car is absorbed into the shimmering haze of a hot track on a hot day as it runs through the lights. No one who has sat strapped into one of these cars waiting to make a run can appreciate the exhiliration one feels as you finally get your chance to rocket down the track with the wind in your face.
