I don't know what your final plans/look of the car will be but after you fix the rusty doors you could leave the bullet holes - to "ratty"??? but would show what you started with..... just a crazy thought.

I'm not going to leave any bullet holes too ratty. I have lots of pics from pick up of car to now. As far a rat rods well I think some of the thoughts and ideas that go into them are good but over all just too ratty and some make you wonder how safe are they?

Great build. Thanks for the detail of the sheet metal work. Several years ago there was an early 30s Plymouth sedan sitting in the sage brush not far from here. I passed it up because it had hundreds of bullet holes. It disappeared and I later saw it at a show no holes except in the grill only because he had not found a replacement yet. There was a picture of it where I had seen it and pictures of the build. Some of you guys are unstoppable! Thanks

Almost time to start working some on my car. I been busy preparing to build a garage. So I don't know how much I will get done on the car. I did build this over the winter at my friend's garage. I need this to do more repairs on the car.

I see you built a rolling machine. What kinds of things will you be making on it? What's the ratio on the gear reduction motor?

Will be rolling the steps around the windows in the doors. Maybe floors what ever I need. I have a good size lathe so more than likely will be making dies to do bead on bottom of doors. I need to make a die to roll the larger bead it needs some repair hear and there. The motor is a Dayton part number 2z797A. It's 2.8 rpm the factory built bead roller at my work is 4.5 rpm same type motor. I think its faster than it need to be.

I have a similar motor that I bought from a friend and thought about setting it up in a similar fashion. I'll keep watching and learning. Keep up the good work.

So I got my car out yesterday. I have been thinking all winter about. If I chopped it enough I came to the conclusion and it needed more. So I took another 1 1/2 out that makes a total of 3 1/2 inchs. This time through I left the back window alone. It's already 8 inchs tall. I still got to do some more welding. First pics is at 2 inchs second pics are at 3 1/2. I think it looks way better. Thanks. I did some more on the car today, but I will have to take some more pics. I did not have time too. The sky went dark thought it was going to rain. So picked up and covered up everything quick. That's the way sunny day garage works.

So anyway it has been awhile. I have been very busy with the garage. So finally kind of settled in the new garage now. I built a frame jig/rack to work from. Today I have started putting the rear end in. I will post more very soon. Hopefully get a lot done over this winter. 21. Volvos are Swedish. The Swiss don't make cars anymore........... You can't get them out of neutral (insert rim shot here)

Got some more done today on rear suspension. Just need to do some final checking. Then finish welding also some pics of tires. I have that were going to be thrown away. After I get done with rear suspension on to the front suspension. I almostforgot I got to get some 2 1/4 flat stock. I need some erailer today did not have any. So looked around shop there was a flatstock brace on the engine hoist. I will replace that later can't have a little thing like no flat stock holding up progress.
