I'm so lazy I couldn't imagine going 300 miles out of my way to find a car and trailer it home, let alone buy one in another COUNTRY and then have it shipped OVERSEAS...the logistics would KILL me. Kudos to you, you're a diehard!!!!!!!!!

The reason for bying this car is that I was looking for a coupe body then this nearly complete car was for sale, so this was a better deal. The bulding plans is a traditional fullfender hot rod, with I-beam, QC, Steelies, Firestone bly-pas, SB.

    Some thing like this:

I have drive my Ford for the first time!
New wheels and front axel made it clear to test drive.
The owner in the states had reversed the spindels, making the steering be very goofy;-) It does not work with the steering arms pointed forward!

Now it,s only about 100 outer issues before it can go to the safety inspection

Looks good with the new wheels and tires. What are you running for sizes? Now that you've got the spindles right, what did you do to the tie rod to clear the wishbone?

I,m running 5,60-15 (se outer post for info regarding these http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108929&highlight=firestone) and in the back they are 7,00-16
The steering arms are bent down and up;-). Down to clear axel and then up to clear wishbone, then retapped to mount steering rod from up.

Congrats on the new delivery, and successful driving of your rod. May you have many good miles under ya, and have a good time.
Think you can make the Lone Star Round-up next year? :D

I knew towing a car with a snowmobile trailer would work!! And you even used a small station wagon.

I love the deuce, and I'm jealous! I will keep an eye out for updates on this.
