We are slowly starting to clear out some of my dad's archives, and one of the nicer 'shelf treasures' he had was this 1/6 (?) scale brass Offenhauser engine made by a company called Vintage Power out of Charlotte, NC. I don't know too much about it, ...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
There's a 1/6 Offy model that pops up on Espay every once in a while- wonder if you have the original/prototype?
Way too cool. Thats a keeper my friend. Being the model guy that I am, I wouldn't be able to leave it alone. I know me too well. I would have it all hyper detailed with the hoses painted black and stuff like that. It's way better off on YOUR shelf.
I have #345 which I bought in the early 2000. Thanks for posting the information - yours is the only one that I know of.
Jive-Bomber Jay - The Vintage Power scale Offy is very cool! ... but even cooler is the fact that you are sharing some of your late father's cool automotive-related items with us here on The Jalopy Journal & the H.A.M.B.! I sure hope that you will continue to share your father's love of cars with us here on the forum ... I've really enjoyed your posts about his old cars and his car-related stories & collectibles ... I can think of no better way to honor your Dad's memory! Again, sorry for your loss ... RIP Jerry Ward
For valuation purposes,I would say it's worth a chunk.I had a detailed prop engine that was a mechanics award from TWA in the early 60s that I sold for 400.00 back in the late 90s.Very cool.
