What is the general idea of what an early 392 Hemi is worth that is taken apart, is std bore, crank just ground .010, .010. heads are bare, all other parts and hardware is there? Was hot tanked and all is good! Thanks

I'd have to say $1000-1500 minimum.
They only made so many, and there are less and less every year.
I may be Low in my estimation.

It depends on what part of the country your in. I've seen between 2-2600 complete core. Lately on higher end.

  4. I paid 900 for a '58 with Imperial covers almost 15 years ago, assembled and complete, never rebuilt. it did 10 10 on the crank and 0.030 or less on the bore.
I would guess over $2k today. By bare heads, you mean just missing valves and springs? still has all rocker assembly?

I had 1 stolen out of my shop a couple months ago and the PoPo is not even trying. If anyone knows of a 392 in Arkansas please send me a msg. It came out of '58 Imperial. It was the only thing that they took which I'm greatful for.

I paid $2,300 for my '58 392 which was a complete re-buildable A-1 block, a much sought after engine. This is the end result...

I've seen them go for about 2,000 to 2,500 range as a core like yours. I got lucky a few years ago and picked one up just like in the condition of the one you got for only 500.
