Was that an "OH SHIT" moment?

  3. Damn it Enloe knows me too well haha. It wasn't really oh shit but I had to peddle back out of it so it wasn't ideal. Worth the picture I was wanting all season last year. :) Finally got lined up with Tommy by a fluke - left my helmet at the pits and had to get it. Tommy was almost the last car in line - seize the moment when you can!

  7. Tommy did :D - the man is as consistent as a watch. My time slip from Greer would have won, but my consistency is not even close. We cut lights that were about a 10th apart so it made for a great photo. Then my car was wanting to stand up too much. The next run it wouldn't even wheelie o_O. Last night I found the clutch pedal slider pipes are running out of lube - driving in the rain to the races o_O. So the clutch let out was not consistent. One run it would bog and not wheelie because the base pressure is still too high - the next run the clutch would slip in the water box and it would stand straight up  - good lesson on clutch pressure affects.

Now need to add zerk fittings to the pedal slider bar. Great weekend anyway. Friday was spent balancing the fuel injection and dropping to a 40 pill. Its running very nice right now as far as the engine goes.

Tony, on what was either your first or second run, but I think the first, you could smell the cltchy on one car or the other when yall came past the SFCC roost on the rail. A sticky release mechanism would explain that.

That's an awesome shot. Looks like you guys are having a blast down there.

  10. Yeah that was my clutch. Damn I'm hard on parts. Sintered iron :( $150 - same as 10 gallons of race gas. Time to carry a spare.

Yes we are !! That shot was taken by a young girl from the stands. The photographers on the track wall can't see both cars. o_O Probably used to doing that because no one wants a pic of their car lined up with a modern car so they don't normally shoot both lanes - just my guess.

  23. Yeah Pete - the Brainerd Optimist Dragstrip - cool little track and close for us :)

Last night the Jerry Co trans arrived so Shawn and Russ stopped in to help do the swap. Except for the shifter location its all the same as a Hightower. Tonight I need to move my seat back a couple inches, cut the trans tunnel sheet metal and then get loaded for the race - no time to sit down running a race car o_O

  25. You still using inches Chuck? When are you going to switch to millimeters?

I cut the corner of the seat off :D Chuck approved - its how the airlines would do it.
