And that's exactly what I have in mind. My build will not be what you thought or have learned a T Bucket" is. My vision. My rules.

I mentioned cycle fenders, well I got one front one done :)
I plan to run fenderless most of the time however I wanted something for inspections and registration as well as something good looking enough to run if I choose to.
Bicycle forks made into fender mounts.

Man, that looks great, I might be tempted to run those all the time.

IMG_0587.jpg Found a set of Tornado headlight stands like on my roadster last weekend at the Petaluma swap. I didn't need them but bought them anyway. Showed them on the way out to my friend Mike that rebuilt my differential for minimum wage. He being into '50s hot rod stuff as much as me called a few days later and said he needed them. I'm bringing them to him the next time I go down in his area.
Blue, I love your fenders and brackets. I second the "keep them on all the time" and I wouldn't say that if your rod was a T bucket.
Fred your enthusiasm is overwhelming. It sometimes pulls me out of a funk. Never change.

  8. In total agreement on the front fenders, they look really good and especially the way you have them hugging the tyre, yep, I think I would tend to keep them on too but then only two screws to remove them which is an excellent idea too, brilliant young man, you may continue with the other one now.

Gary has said it sooooooo......... many times. The answer to "What's missing" or "What's wrong?", is just 20 steps back and a REALLY hard look.

Thought I would share a little of what I've been up to. Not making the progress I want to, but I am making progress so I guess that's good. I like checking in on this thread to see what you guys are up to- gives me motivation.

Well, shit, Tim. Your build is one of the one's that keeps me going. BTW, is that a polished radiator or a shined up cover?

That is actually TWO stock T radiator covers that Kiwi Tinbender Paul Frankenstein'd for me. The one had a badly pitted upper tank cover, and the other one I basically destroyed trying to make work... Paul sectioned the one to fit my aftermarket radiator, built new mounting feet, and spliced in the good tank cover. He did an awesome job!

  16. I really love the cycle fenders Blue One built. Id have no problem running a set of those on a permanent basis on a period styled T. The one thing Ive always wondered about running those is what is the chance of the brackets catching on the tires if you hit a bump or something? Are they so stiff they just don't move?

Well the Tinbinder is no Paul Newman but I don't think I would call him Frankenstein.
    Seriously nice job.

    Gary
    Now here is your Frankenstein.
    Yes the wine was good.

I used to get Kenny Rodgers Or even Gary Meders.

It was tough Marc. but I only had a couple of sips before I got home.

  23. Yeah, I can see Kenny well before the plastic reconstruction. The most important thing is though, was the wine a red or white and would you buy it again ?

Everyone knows it's not proper etiquette to drink white wine with a "T" bucket..

It was a locally bottled red and very good. Difficult to just sip on until I got home. My friend Paul that I take with me on many outings is a winemaker and always brings something good but this bottled by a friend of his was especially good.
Enough about wine lets see some more Ugly Ts. and less ugly owners.

Not getting the pictures Fred, but I'm changing my "T to a Dodge bucket, 4.5" wider in the seat area and 3" longer inside, and 2 doors, ,

Well, there's nothing to get. I found pics of a cool car, liked some of what he did and posted the pics. Heck, no one else is posting anything. I was gonna post a T Bucket with the fattest rear tires I could find. But, hey, no need for drama.
