Projects 47 Dodge build thread

I like the patina the sweet Charleston air has given the ol' Dodge. Are you planning to clear over it?

 

I reeeeally like the profile of that car. Get that fucker done and take me for a ride.

Actually I was thinking about putting 3 different tones of primer, and 2 layers of basecoat, sand until it looks like folk art and then lay down the clear......Semi gloss of course.

Been working on a lot of little shit not really worth taking pics. I get my inner fenders clearance for headers and engine. These still need A LOT of straightening but they are solid enough to make it SIM.

 

Those look pretty rust free CB - did they come with the car?

I think there is some sort of bet involving a tatoo, but unsure of details. CB definitely did a last minute thrash.

 

Thanks for posting these up K5. Yep it was a hell of a thrash. It was far from complete, but it was good enough to get there. I did have a Goose Creek cop looking things over as he followed me. Thanks again to K5 for the help I would not have made without your help. It was a hell of trip. Great drive, great time with the fellas, and it was great to not have to get a My Little Pony tattoo.

 

The lengths some people will go to NOT get a tattoo. Way to hang with it Dave, you did it man!!

Somethings are understood. Thanks for the pic. I also want to thank my club members that helped throughout the years. I am FAR from done. Considering I started with a rusted out body and frame the club and I did a lot of work. I will be getting back on it shortly....I need to spend some time with the family. Next up, body rust repair, trans cover. Long term plans are paint and interior.....oh and a real wiring job, not the half ass shit I zipped tied in there.

It's been a whale since I've touched it. It's on the lift and waiting. I have few items with other cars I need to wrap up. That and I've just been unmotivated. But that is changing. Next up is redoing all the shit I broke during my shakedown run. Steering, exhaust, air ride and ripping that POS Holley off and putting a Edelbrock on. Then the last bit of rust repair and epoxy primer. I will keep the thread updated as the whale gets un- beached.
