Kinda off topic, but who has cool AUTHENTIC garage shirts. Not the amazon shirt vendors. Looked at most of my vendors and fav's but not collared shirts. TROG, Flop, Old Crow and so on. Any suggestions?
I buy Red Kap work shirts...google it...most are $14-$18 each...good quality...and no wrinkles...just wash/dry/wear...lots of colors
Buy 'em at a thrift store. Find old Wranglers or Big Macs made in the USA in the '60s & finish wearing them out. Read the label in the highly over rated "Dickie" to see who made it ...
I like Dickies short sleeved button up shirts. Of course in dark blue or dark green. They take some abuse and I wear them over t-shirts on cooler days. Almost anything washes out of them.
Let me clarify, Looking for collared shirts with speed shop or hot rod stuff on them. Seen Dickies and Luck 13. Just wondering what shops put them out.
Out in the shop I am usually head to toe Ben Davis, except for my Danner boots. The most indestructible combination i've had. While I have some stains on the shirts, some have taken sever concrete and chemical abuise and not a single thread out of place.
I wear nothing but these in the garage. Affordable and very comfortable. http://www.amazon.com/HMS-80s-Fishnet-Shirt-Black/dp/B002MVVLAI
I don't think you guys are gettin' it. He's not looking for shirts to wear while working in the garage, he's looking for shirts like this: http://www.compacc.com/p/speed-and-strength-rage-with-the-machine-garage-shirts
Daddy-O's is mostly bowling shirts but there are some car shirts as well http://www.daddyos.com/index.html
I'm with rsg on this one........not a big T-Shirt guy but I picked up these shorts from Duluth Trading...
this authentic shop shirt is the only one you should wear. stained with the grease and sweat of a 390 big block and a 50 chevy. maybe some blood mixed in too. the 65 year old grease under my finger nails is a badge of honor. when we go to town i wear a clean t shirt. can i get an amen brothers.
I like the HAMB one....Only problem with that is that my Boss's name is Rex. Might get a little weird..... I can wear anything I want to work (office) and also looking for stuff to wear to car shows etc. Trying to get out of the t-shirts. Looking for places that actually exist, not the made up ones on Amazon or the TV show ones. Would buy a TROG or SCTA one too. Rather have my own made up rather than buy a made up one off Amazon.
