The flathead Plymouth banger went 113.7 both with Suzuki and Ford throttle bodies. At El Mirage and Bonneville both. I guess 113 was it's number. With the Y block head it went 135

Going around to the other side. I didn't make the crank, but I did make the main caps. Also you can kinda see the finned side cover I made on the 26 Dodge

Here's some home made speed parts for a Model A, ignore the old sneaker in the lower right corner.

Intake that was converted from updraft to down draft and this cool header designed for an OHV
conversion made out of some heavy piping.

The header is just a wall hanger for now, but plan on running the intake and splitting two exhaust manifolds to run dual exhaust.

That is the plan. Been a spectator for all of them so far.

  12. This is a split exhaust manifold for a 216 by Joe Alexander picked it up with a Edelbrock 216 intake-

I need that recipe. Do you have build photos? That is so great, I was talking with a friend when we were at the dirt drags at Chopped last weekend and to be able to change out the diff gears would be unreal. We don't have the coin for a quick change but do have a metal shop.

I missed out on a homemade quick change on ePay a few years ago and haven't seen one come up for sale since. I'm still kicking myself because it did not go for big money.

DSCN8335.JPG Here is a picture of a somewhat similar set up I did. The intake is attached to flathed screws attached from the other side of the header flange. before I put the flange on the block. I made three different intakes and wanted to be able to change them without pulling the exhaust. I know that I already posted a picture of this engine. This is to show how I attached the intake. Close but not the same as above. No I did not experience leakage problems. But this is a lot different than a street driven car.

  20. I do not have a photo, I will check with the Ackermans.

The car is a barn find built just after the war.

The exhaust and intake are on the same manifold plate and there are no sealing issues. The carbs are Bendix Strombergs from EJ Holdens from '63. I run a single Bendix carb and a quiet exhaust on the street and the performance enhancement when the header manifold combo is bolted on is dramatic. Next project is to make similar intake manifold and extractors, but might use some 94's instead.

Thanks joelorocknrollo! Great looking and I'm pleased it performs well. I'm building a banger rpu right now and I may have to 'borrow' the look!!

It is starting to take shape. But need to find another good '94 or rebuild all the '81s. IMG_0370.JPG IMG_0372.JPG IMG_0373.JPG

New exhaust. Damn right hand drive cars don't leave much room for headers. The front pipe is to avoid the oil filter on the aftermarket alloy side plate which is on the motor i'm about to put in. IMG_0397.JPG IMG_0395.JPG IMG_0396.JPG

I love all the home built intakes! Here's mine the Dan-O-Ram twin 2gcs, top fill water neck. The distributer has a direct read advance indicator( the Ping-O-Matic) all going on a '62 283.
