Technical th350 kickdown cable help

  1. My lokar kickdown cable arrived today so I got it hooked up as the instructions.went out for a drive but still no kickdown...Any ideas?

    What engine? There may not be enough "throw" on the arm of the carburetor.
    I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

    ck carb at full throttle-then ck pull on cable and see if there is any more pull on it at this point.

    Can you 'feel it' by hand?
    If so then adjust it so the throttle will do the same.
     

  5. I first set it up by hand pulling the cable with my wife in the car with throttle wide open. Since then I've used pliers to pull on the cable and reset the hold down screw....works like a dream now! Thanks everyone
