Just traded my Motorcycle for this!! It has a 292/3 on the tree. Any tips??

Nice truck! I wouldn't change a thing.

 

I think these are over-looked but really cool. I like them low, but at a minimum you need to "C" the frame.

Since you want to tow I think I would keep the rear as is, put a pair of Posies de-arched springs on the front, big and littles (but not too little) and call it done.

If you're in hilly region you might want to consider a disc conversion on the front, and a dual master cylinder to get a little more stopping power and safety.

 

I'll tell you what to do with it....
Enjoy the sweet sound of that y-block while you're pullin that ham in a can.

Bigs and Littles don't belong on anything after 1948, especially a truck.

 

,reverse the front hanger for the rear spring and get the eyes reversed

Hard to turn with those small steering wheels....But I like the truck.

 

I know! But I had to until I get a smaller belly! I already have one in my Ranchero!

 

Got me some pinstriping on her!

 

These are good usable trucks. Mine has a 460, C6, A/C, new wood and stainless, and of course big tires on the back so it will look right and haul a load.

 

A little update! Added some pinstriping inside the cab,and out a little.
